If you knew your real calling, you would let go of lots of things

The vision takes time to be born

Dear reader! Looking at what you are doing online, the project you are working on, and the ideas you propel, I can instantly see how to make you famous and influential. How to make you a history maker, a legacy builder. But passing this vision down to you turned out to be more challenging than I thought.

They say one image is worth a 1000 words. I say: one clear image of how and where to move is worth 1000 hours. Malcolm Gladwel says 10000 ).

Dear reader, you have great ideas, and many good projects are sitting in your head. They might perish there, never revealed to the world due to many factors. Some of them are related to mental blocks, others to not knowing what steps to take and how to move strategically. Some of them are related to sporadic movement, which only leads to a waste of time and energy. But the main reason is an unclear image of your future.

What do you need to have this image? 3 things:

1. See (and clearly understand) your passion to change something specific (improve, invent, show a different perspective, create a system or solution)

2. See people’s needs, pain, and suffering you want to resolve, soothe, eradicate. See means: feel them, understand them, get passionate about people who go through them. Know their stories. Know their pain.

3. Finally, see the steps on how to move from suffering to resolution with compassion. (Not only design, but test, and ensure it works.) Compassion is the key, because you can’t help if you are careless about what people go through.

Just those 3 things for starters are a long journey. The journey of understanding yourself and others. Unfortunately, I can’t put the map in 3 words or a 1-hour consultation, despite seeing it. My ability to see is in my years of understanding myself and others. It is not in marketing, product design.. or those technical things I teach. It is in compassion and understanding of human nature.

I do want to make this vision available to you. But sometimes It takes some students a few years to get a clear road map for themselves and their unique vision. Because to see, you have to grow, you have to get experience, you have to dig deep in yourself and in knowledge.

Reality is: you have to have patience. Nothing good is just born overnight.. There is time to grow in the “womb”. Same for a vision. Same for your life’s road map. For you to see it, it has to be born.

You might not yet know how this chapter fits into your overall life mission, but don’t close the book just because this page is painful

Business led by compassion

Nowadays, almost everyone dreams of crowds: people who will follow, be loyal and supportive. From a business perspective, it means to have customers passionate about their products, just like the users of Apple products are.

Crowds mean money. If you don’t use the internet opportunities to make crowds follow you, you might be leaving money on the table. Right?

Well large following does not always mean income, sometimes crowds love to stone the one they admired just an hour ago. Please do not desire Crowds.

If you want your business to prosper. You want a stable stream of income build your business and services with passion. Which passion? The compassion passion!

Here is an example from a history book.. called the Bible.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

From Matthew about Life of Jesus

There is no reason to doubt that Jesus was a genius in creating products, branding and marketing. That is why I love to learn from him. This quote is about his attitude to his clients. If you question why I call people who followed Jesus his clients, you should check the definition of the word. Check out, particularly the Mariam Webster. Let me mention only the etymology: client, clean, lean, where lean is “to rely for support or inspiration”. Clients are those who depend on us.

Yes, Jesus had Clientele. And you will have if you build your business using his principles. One of them is Compassion.

This above quote will not be complete if you have no idea what was after.

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

From Matthew about Life of Jesus

To serve his clients, Jesus had to travel quite a while. He even said that he had no place to put his head to sleep. So intense was the schedule that sometimes he couldn’t find a hotel or room. Still he was compassionate to his clientele who were not able to get his service because there was a scarcity of time and people who could attend to those in need.

The harvest is plentiful if you are compassionate enough to see it.

You are not compassionate if you worry that no one needs your product. You started from the wrong side. Start with the needs first and then you will see how people will gather around you. Be not interested in Crowds but in their needs and you will see that those needs will be taken care of by God in you. Because he is Compassionate.

The Invisible Clock – Time Required for Big Results

The Invisible Clock – Time Required for Big Results

Many people don’t realize that things can take time to form before they become visible. This lack of understanding often leads to impatience, especially in business. Often, people invest for a few months and then get disappointed when they don’t see results. However, it is crucial to understand that everything, depending on its magnitude, takes time to become visible. The bigger the business or project you’re building, the more time it will take to show its true potential. Patience is the key to achieving greatness. In this article, we will explore various examples of how time plays a significant role in the creation of remarkable things.

“Good things come to those who wait.”

Proverb

The first time I launched a 6-month intensive program that helped individuals become public figures from almost zero backgrounds, I witnessed that motivation was wearing off in my students due to the time it takes to become a public figure. Despite enrolling in a 6-month program, their minds were not ready to work for months without being able to demonstrate anything to the world.

I understand them, as I was exactly like that until I learned that all great things develop in unknownness and unspotted, unseen. It takes time to learn this skill. Few people in my life were actually living like that, building in solitude. One was one of my mentors, Dr. Sunday Adelaja; another was my work partner, musician Blynx. Both were building and accumulating products without showing them to the world. Little by little I was adopting this philosophy.

I did not feel like accumulating six months of work in the beginning. I could hardly hide the ideas I had, let alone the things I had started to do. I always wanted to share ideas and intentions. I felt a burst of energy from that. But actually, it turned out that more energy accumulates when we are hiding the product we are working on. The anticipation of the day this product will see the world grow every day. You know that the time will come to reveal your work to the world, and it brings joy and excitement. Whereas if you share the ideas and intentions upfront, it is like you are throwing out the energy.

“Trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.”

Molière

This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of patience and the invisible clock that governs the fruition of all significant endeavors. Just like my students struggled to see the immediate results of their hard work, many of us often forget that the most remarkable achievements develop in the unseen, taking time to manifest. Just as I learned from my mentors and colleagues, it’s crucial to understand that everything worth achieving requires time. Now, let’s look at a list of various examples that highlight how different things take time to become visible and impactful.

A list of different things and how long they take to become visible:

  1. Human baby – 9 months
  2. Elephant calf – 22 months (almost 2 years)
  3. Tree (from seed to sapling) – Several years, depending on the species
  4. Butterfly (from egg to adult) – A few weeks to months
  5. Chicken egg – 21 days
  6. Human habits – About 21 days to form
  7. Writer’s book – Months to years
  8. Film production – Months to years
  9. University degree – 3 to 4 years
  10. Startup company – 3 to 5 years to become profitable
  11. Wine (aging) – Months to years
  12. Construction of a house – Several months to a year
  13. Artist’s painting – Days to months
  14. Technology innovation – Years
  15. Athlete’s training for the Olympics – Years
  16. Space mission preparation – Years
  17. Bamboo growth (some species) – 3 to 4 years to mature
  18. Real estate investment – 5 to 10 years to see significant returns
  19. Diamond formation – Millions of years
  20. Formation of a mountain – Millions of years
  21. Coral reef growth – Thousands of years
  22. Formation of petroleum – Millions of years
  23. Evolution of a species – Millions of years
  24. Fossilization process – Thousands to millions of years

So, you see, the most amazing things, the things that make us feel awe, all take time. Patience is key in any endeavor, especially in building something great. Keep this in mind as you work towards your goals. The invisible clock is always ticking, and understanding the time required for big results can lead to greater satisfaction and success in your endeavors. Remember, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Embrace the journey, trust the process, and let the anticipation of revealing your work to the world fuel your perseverance.
